After embarking on the journey of co-founding a biotech, Daniel-Adriano Silva was in search of his next mission. He visited David Baker’s laboratory at the University of Washington’s Institute for Protein Design, where he had done his post-doctorate research. There, he reconnected with Alfredo Quijano Rubio, who had just finished his PhD and built a novel biosensor technology. The technology caught Silva’s attention.
